GagasFilthyPop 336
With the rising success from a lot of male pop artists (Shawn Mendes, Lukas Graham, Troye Sivan, The Chainsmokers, etc.) and more female pop artists are going the more non-traditional pop direction (Beyoncé with Lemonade, Gaga with Joanne, etc.), do you see the possibility of more pop boys in the same form as pop girls being the next, big trend and are you here for it? Discuss. "We could be caught, we're both convicted criminals of thought."

FATCAT 60,014
As long has they aren't as tragic as past examples, it's fine. If they're overrated teeny boppers, they can leave. This kitten over here (meow)

Seeka 12,372
Only if we get more Troye Sivan's and less of well... what we've honestly been given. I mean like, people talk about pop girls being generic, but dear lord, every song by every guy is the damn same. I would like Troye Sivan, and can BiGbang please just have a random outburst on American radio please?
Redstreak 6,653
Yes. Troye Sivan had one of the best albums of last year. Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
ReidOne 12,427
Honestly my answer is no. And Calvin Harris explains why perfectly. It's not a political/gender issue. It's a music issue (for dance music). Female voices just work better for the top line. Listen to him explain here:
Werk 13,166
No I'm not here for pop boys. This is the reason why I'm not 100% feeling this basic era for Gags and it's because it doesn't build up much to the music scene right now. I would probably make a thread for this reason but I'm not ready to get dragged.

Kermit 15,807
If they're like Troye Sivan, no. I'll continue to my underground psychedelic and indie artists. “For me, insanity is super sanity. The normal is psychotic.
