freebit 6,240 Posted September 17, 2016 Share Posted September 17, 2016 I feel like critics regard Gaga in a similar way that they do with Brandon Flowers and The Killers - they think they're too earnest and cheesy. I think they do give her some respect, but I don't see them ever being up her ass or anything. She is still a polarizing figure, and at times I do feel like her confidence is a turn-off for them in some way (yet again, much like Brandon Flowers).
