Yeah...I think you are the only one that believes that.

When you can't sing, that is okay, not a problem, make studio music all you want, but when someone asks you to perform live in front of millions (where Beyonce will follow or come before you), say: "NO", or don't make excuses after people realize (or knew all along) that you are stepping out of your range.

If you have a talent, and are hard working at it, then you can achieve much. If you have talent, but choose to do someone else's job on a false sense of ability and aren't humble about it, then you can goto hell.

I pretty much agree with you (see my continued thoughts in my Calvin Harris posts above, lol)...

But you also know he would have been dragged for filth if he lipped it!

So I think he deserves points for effort! Lord knows I would have never attempted singing my autotuned #1 anthem live on the VMA's stage... Even when I was young and dumb and 26. So, props to him for giving it a shot! That takes guts. And commitment to your promo!! Don't forget, he's young and cute and trying to make millions. So he has to sell the face fast, while it lasts, by whatever means necessary.

I feel like watching his VMA's performance was like watching myself in a karaoke bar. So, he's kind of my hero in a sick twisted way.

...and for the record, I do think he's a complete f*ckboy moron for saying he was "setup" with the poor vocal mixing.

Honey, you weren't setup by anyone. You just don't know your way around a live stage well enough to get your mix right. This was entirely preventable... don't blame it on MTV. They weren't coming for you.
