Xoxo Adriana 15,040 Posted September 16, 2016 Share Posted September 16, 2016 Firstly, if you disagree, say it but don't spray it darlings I had previously loved the album artwork for ARTPOP and was my favorite from Gaga so far. When I saw this new album cover for 'Joanne' I was quite surprised and was expecting less after the artwork for 'Perfect Illusion'. I am absolutely mesmerized by the color that she has incorporated in this new image she is going for with the new album. But at the same time the simplicity of it does give it a fresh new look which I also love. The pastel-like color in the background and on her hat are definitely what gives it the simple look. Again as I said before, I wasn't really impressed with the Perfect Illusion artwork, since I found it to be too simple and a bit boring which is what made me expect a similar thing for the actual album artwork. I must say 'Joanne' isn't really much of an ideal name for an album in my opinion but now seeing the artwork along with the name it all blends together perfectly! And I know how much Gaga wanted to make this album her most personal and I can definitely see that! As for the mentioned tracks to feature on Joanne, the one track name that caught my attention the most was 'Ayo'. I was speaking with a fellow monster earlier today about this and she said that it seems like a hip hop feel and that Ronson himself respects hip hop music. Keep in mind there is also another 'Ayo' which was released by Chris Brown and Tyga for their collaborative album in 2015. So do you guys also feel that 'Ayo' will have some sort of a hip hop or even r&b feel to it? VANTABLACK 7,787 Posted September 16, 2016 Share Posted September 16, 2016 MINE TOO. love the colorS, very calming . only problem I have is I wish she had more emotion in her face(giving me mugshot/nothing was the same rn) , I would have loved a tear or a smiley grin or with her eyes closed and her face pointed more up! and where the **** is that bump on her nose ?! It made sense, but I never really liked it; however now I'm in love with it, especially after seeing the album cover, like you said, they just fit together so well. The album cover is probably my favorite one. It's simple, yet absolutely amazing! I love a pastel palette, and her aesthetic this era is probably my favorite as well. It also just looks like an iconic album cover.
