I just saw what Juliette Lewis said.

Someone's upset they haven't had any musical success and they aren't that pretty :tea:

Not her best performance tbh. Video Games was pretty bad, since she was practically speaking in parts. But, I thought that Blue Jeans was pretty good.

Well regardless of what anyone thinks, the song and EP are rising, so it isn't all bad. She really needs to sit down with a vocal coach though and learn to get thru tv stuff better, hopefully Letterman gives her a better opportunity to showcase her lovely voice, we've seen it before, Jools Holland, Taratata ect. If anything people hearing about the mess show will be youtubing her and at least be curious to see some of her other tv work whicj has been better.

Lame. Not even going to address that part of your statement. Attacking her looks? Low.

Juliette Lewis is amazing live, watching her perform is like watching a music exorcism. She knows how to work a crowd, and sing her face off. Lana does not, and energy apparently isn't her shtick, which is fine. But those SNL performances were not that great, they weren't awful either, just mediocre.

Lana Del Rey annoys me, she has a great voice, great songs, but her lyrical delivery is so bad. She needs to study all the great torch singers, and learn exactly how to put emphasis on different words for powerful emotional impact.

After I listen to Lana's music, I feel like I have a layer of phony poser grim covering my body.

Lana's first US TV Debut should've been for a pre-recorded show, where re-performing it again could happen and mistakes could be taken care of.

SNL has a large and tough audience, so Interscope's decision to make it happen was a terrible idea, especially considering she has constantly noted that she was nervous about the performance.

She was nervous, I don't blame her. Plus, she did pretty well anyway. I don't get why all these people on Twitter keep bashing her.

Shes had months of touring and live videos all over the net with millions od views, people are aware how well she can do. SNL was a lackluster way to expose herself to the U.S, but honestly, her performance ability is ALL there for anyone to see online and lots of people have seen it. SNL wont be the end of her, her songs taking a big leap on itunes today proves that and any bad exposure in the U.S right now will only make more people see her other work online, which is at least a plus.
