Too bad they're not able to count the illegal views though

Yeah I had to torrent and watch it illegally because it isn't even shown in my country on TV! And if it is, I'm not paying $70 a month for satellite for one f*ucking show, just to watch it a few days later than the rest of the world. I already went on Facebook 2 hours after it aired in the US and saw a huge spoiler! It's totally unrealistic to expect people in other countries to wait a few days to watch their favourite shows in this digital age! Spoilers are rampant nowadays.

TV show distributors need to sell individuals the rights to download/stream in HD the moment it's released on TV. Hell yes I would pay a reasonable price to be able to legally  watch a show online the same time it's released on TV in the US (or just a few hours later). In fact I'd like to. That way my views could be counted and I could actually support the makers of the show with my small amount of money.

God. Sorry about the rant. But the way that TV shows are distributed REALLY needs to change and soon. My only other option is illegal downloading/streaming! And I'm not alone in this!

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

The whole concept of international distribution is outdated in the digital era. Some time ago the industry could get away with releasing things at different times in different regions, but nowadays consumers have the option to bypass the system and download illegally to suit their convenience.

The film (and music) industry need to adapt to the 21st century.

You're right. But the thing is, I don't see it as merely for convenience though! I see it as necessary. If I don't get my content at the same time as my friends overseas, every major plot point of an episode will be spoiled for me. The only alternative would be to avoid social media entirely until it's released in my country, and then do the same thing for every episode! That is absolutely ridiculous to expect of anyone in 2016. Ugh.

If the distributors, and everyone else involved in the creative process, had an agreement all arranged and signed off and wrapped up with a nice little bow of signatures, then they could just let us pay them say... $4 an episode, and then stream the episode in the highest quality immediately, or maybe an hour after it's shown on TV (a realistic time frame for avid watchers to see it immediately, without everyone else in the world waiting too long, and so TV companies can get their revenue or w/e). Then at the end of the season, we could then be allowed to download the whole season to keep on our laptops. There's no downside. And it's the only option I can foresee which would stop at least some people torrenting, and which would still make them money. It also cuts out the middle man of TV companies, and we'd be paying them directly. WHY has this not happened yet? Come on world.

Okay I'm done :) thanks to whoever reads my bullsh-it rant.
