Album Description: Gaga describes this album as being her father’s and mohter’s daughter, her sister’s sister, her lover's lover and her friend’s friend. She also revealed that every song is extremly autobiographical.

The song is about Gaga's fiance Taylor Kinney and the title is a refrence to her engagement ring, this song has an unexpected drum buildup to the chorus that is HARD.

This song might be Gaga’s favourite which has a kind of a country music vibe. For this song Gaga worked with Hillary Lindsey which is a country songwriter. Florence Welch also harmonized together with Gaga on this song. The fans that were at the NYC Listening Party said that this song sounds simmilar to Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off".

3. Joanne

This song is the title track which is co-written by Mark Ronson, the song is about her aunt Joanne who has passed away when she was 19 years old, She performed this song at the iHeart Radio private show where her father Joe heard it for the first time and got really emotional. Gaga prevously had a song about her aunt Joanne which was planned to be released on “Cheek To Cheek” under the name "Paradise" but she kept it at the end. Maybe the title track has some parts of the song called Paradise but it is not confirmed yet.

4. John Wayne

A explosive folky song that is about Gaga’s incessant need to run after wild man and somehow getting bored of the same old "John". Gaga worked with Josh Homme for this song which she describes that his guitar is out of control. The song begins with spoken word intro like Sexxx Dreams' bridge.

It isn't confirmed that the song Gaga performed about Joanne was Paradise. I think it was the title track, Joanne,  which made her dad cry

Seems kinda weird releasing a song about your friend's imminent death while they're still alive.
