The Surrealist 27,470
Hotel had like 44 different Gagas, she changed the whole attitude of her character more often than the outfits on the show. Like not only did her face change the whole series (seriously, what the hell is this inconsistency, keep your fingers off your face for at least 3 months of shooting) but she completely switched characters. A feminine elegant killer vampire, suddenly wears a suit and becomes very masculine in Episode 9-10. (the scene where she blohe smoke in Evan's face) From episode 9-13 I couldn't tell any emotional from Gaga's face and she was out of character most of the time. I did like episode 5-9 very much she showed a right amount of emotional and acting skills and then the whole show suddenly decided to sh*t all over it. So, do you think this will be in S6 also? DeanWinchester 41,390
She is every icon!! She's also playing all the spiders and centipede in the trailers. Queen of acting! Flyin' like a 1000 Doves
Chris Evans 8,917
she said in an interview her personality/wardrobe changed depending on who she was with at the time wittrock/bomer/evan etc.

Slayer 9,227
I kind of have to agree. Her acting was consistently good (most of the time), but the character itself was never consistent. She would oscillate between this very campy, European accent to New Yorker in an instant. I initially put this down to the various different eras in which she was portraying the Countess (e.g. maybe more New Yorker in the 80s, more elegant and classical in the present). But then, as you say, around episode 9 it just went all over the place. It made no sense why the Countess would suddenly start wearing a suit and having a masculine swagger or saying "who's the little mouse now?" in that aggressive tone. I don't know. I loved her portrayal most of the time, but I agree it unravelled towards the end. But remember she was being directed and written that way. So I guess she was just doing what she was told. I'm hoping for more consistency this season. Hopefully the fact she's in fewer episodes means there's less opportunity for consistency issues. I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

Thomas P 18,479
Hopefully one that doesn't dress like how you'd assume Gaga would dress if she was in a tv show. I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

This. The Countess was a multi-faceted, complex and very layered character. She had different personalities very consciously and Gaga played that very well. subtext / fantasy
KingRedd 3,139
I think the Countess took on many personalities because of how long she has been living. She lived through many eras and has changed within them. So it didn't shock me that her pronounciation of words or style would change depending on her mood or who she was with at the time. May I Read You? 😎
