lego 44,165 Posted September 14, 2016 Share Posted September 14, 2016 The 34-year-old woman, who witnesses said was Middle Eastern in appearance and wore a headscarf, was shopping in a branch of the Co-op in Bletchley, Buckinghamshire, when she was approached by a man who made racial remarks,police said. She was followed to her car, where the suspect hit a 40-year-old man over the head with a bag of ice and a bottle. He then kicked the woman in the torso, causing her to fall to the floor. The woman lost her baby as a result of the attack, while the male victim sustained head injuries. Both were taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital but have since been discharged. A neighbour who saw the aftermath of the attack said the victim had been screaming in agony. Marian Scott, 56, said she saw a large crowd of people gathered around the victim, who was lying on her back in the car park in front of the Co-op, near to the Hazrath Shahjalal Jamie Masjid mosque. Ms Scott said a man was bleeding heavily from his head which he held in his hands. Police are appealing for information and have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the assault, which happened at around 9.40pm on 6 August. Investigating officer Pc Richard Armitage said: "This racially aggravated assault had absolutely devastating consequences for the victim, who lost her baby as a result of the attack. Our thoughts are with her and her family at this incredibly difficult and sad time. "A thorough investigation is under way and we would like to speak to the man pictured as he may have information which could help with the investigation." As a mama to 2 kids (1aborted), I can't even begin to fathom the amount of agony this woman is in. I had my abortion at 14 and I've regretted it everyday since. It's almost driven me to suicide several times. Once I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd child several years later, I was ecstatic. From the moment that egg embeds itself in the mamas uterus, it becomes a part of her. I feel so sorry for this woman. She has my deepest sympathies I love you monsters. This kind of thing rarely happens in Canada (and even the US is currently less racist as a whole) towards Middle Easterners than Europe is. These race issues require government action, and the "Burkini" fiasco in France was a step in the wrong direction. On the other hand, I myself am from the middle east (however I am a zoroastrian, not a muslim), and feel the need to make it very clear to people I am not muslim. It is not because I have anything against a single muslim person, but in general have some difficulties accepting a culture that slaughtered and oppressed my own religion and my home country. However, no one should be allowed to take these opinions and express them in such a way, it is absolutely disgusting.
