I'm glad her mental health is improving. You can tell how unhappy she was for the majority of her 20s. :noparty:

I don't think her mental health is improving. She still seems unhappy to me. :(

I don't get her tbh, she was so genuinely passionate during her peak. Congrats on hitting 30 and lowering ambitions I guess.

'You don't get her' because... uhm... you know nothing about her? Everyone knows and sees that she was passionate about what she's doing, but was she happy?  Was she in a good place? She has continually said no, and I don't think we are in a position to question that. It's a curiosity how you only perceive her as a 'pop icon' and fail to recognize that she is a real person who feels a wide spectrum of emotions just like everybody else.

And on "lowering [her] ambition" - hunty, have you realized that maybe her priorities have already shifted, after everything's that has happened to her? A 'betrayal' from her label and her own fans which forced her into a rut since 2012, her continual mental instability, ending a 5-year relationship - and you still think that being a the #1 pop diva - sales, charts, acclaim - must be her number one, sole priority? Basing on your post, the answer is a resounding yes - a true tragedy, tbqh.

Mindless comments like these just... boggle my mind. I mean what is the thought process behind making these assumptions? What is the mentality that makes people think that saying such things is okay?

the fact is the medication tone down her creativity and eccentricity , she managed her anxiety and depresion in her 20s by creating music of her fears and frustrations and that was liberating but now she just don't wanna be a  music legend even in her interview with Kiss Fm she doesn't acknowledge herself like a phenomenal music artist and that is sad :cryga:

I agree, and I might not have all of GaGa's pressure and daily anxieties of her life but I deal with anxiety and depression and I do some art in some therapeutic way. It makes me happy in that moment but it doesn't mean my struggles go away. You know mental illness is daily work, fighting your own demons isn't that easy, and growing up feeling like you've learned and grown is a normal part of maturing? You gotta change, otherwise if you stay the same person throughout the years what's the point? It would mean you've learned nothing and you've not lived at all. If you don't know enough to form an opinion, don't share it.

Speechless94

It was either in the BBC1 radio interview or it was during her show in Universal Music in Berlin on thursday. She said when she just started out she would be in the car crying, terrified of the mob of paparazzi that was waiting for her (paraphrasing)

someone else might be able to confirm

Yeah, she said it in Berlin, that she was having panic attacks in her car.
