TV performances just don't have a lasting impact. Radio is where it's at in the music buisness. Why do you think most of these basic DJs have long-term success? You can perform the song at as many TV shows if you like but they provide momentary boosts and will then free-fall once the effect wears off. Having radio support stabilises sales and then there's a foundation to prevent falling. Performances now would be nice but ultimately they would be wasted spots imo.
