why TF does this fanbase care about sales that much? -.-' 

for those who are "shocked" about gaga's position (which I don't know, 'cause I don't care) on iTunes, do you know that basically NOBODY DOWNLOADES MUSIC ANYMORE NOWADAYS!! 

People mostly stream nowadays & because people are lazy they just stream whatever Spotify, Apple Music, and all the other moneyhungry websites will tell them to listen to. And let's not start talking about YT views -.-'

 

In my opinion artists should only be paid for live performances so they BRAKE THEIR HIPS FOR THEIR FANS JUST LIKE "YOUR FAVE" (you stupid motherf****rs who are starting to stan even the most basic, who shouldn't even be compared to Gaga, over LADY MOTHERF*****G GAGA!!!)

I'm not one of those crazy chart obsessed monsters. But, I can see why people are nervous and care. There is a lot riding on the back of PI. This is her first song in the streaming era and it will cement her power in future singles. If Gaga isn't raking in the $$$ or the interest anymore, we can kiss goodbye to major performance slots and interviews, as well as awards. Which in retrospect isn't necessarily the end of the world, but it will make being a Gaga stan a lot more boring. For want of a better word

What did I just read

We care about sales, because… 

1.) Gaga has never been a streaming force, so sales are important for her

2.) Yes, sales are decreasing, but it still shows which song gets listened to more than another one. 

3.) No, artists should always get paid for their effort. You forget that there are also producers, sound engineers etc. behind every song who want to get paid as well. Music should not be free.

4.) We, or at least I, care about salss or streams or whatever for the sole reason that Gaga will have a higher budget for her tour production, music videos etc. Ofc you can say you don't care about that aspect, but I do not want to see you complaining if Gaga has to shoot her music videos on her iPhone and edit them on iMovie.

okay, I see that MONEY is a reason but the way I viewer it, I guess, was just more negative. I never really think of how many people are going to have to be paid, the tour costs etc.

So the point of selling is non-the-less Money but it's needed for more than just being their? - Makes sense........ I guess.

 

Well I just feel that for a lot of monsters it's about popularity too & a lot of people always hated Gaga no matter if on her "peak" or even her "blackout", so that's kinda the thing that bothered me and I feel like people express that with caring to much about the sales.
