Gaga Medicine 265
1 hour ago, HOTNGaga said: "CTC is the end to the beginning of my career" - Gaga in 2014. This basically confirmed LG5 was going to be the first album of the 'new' Gaga and her career. We knew she was gonna come back completely different than before. My question is- why did people still expect something amoung the lines of Bad Romance, why did they expect "outrageous" outfits, bubblegum-like pop, and choreography intense songs? To the upset monsters: I'm just saying, maybe you guys should've paid more attention to her words, then maybe you wouldn't of been so disappointed. I totally agree. Like, after improving her vocal abilities, singing jazz and making covers of legendary songs of legendary artists if she returned with generic pop music it would be suicide. She wanna be recognized as a musician, not just a pop girl. She said that during ARTPOP era. I think she want to appeal to a more mature demographic, even if that means no #1 songs on the Hot100. I'm not shading her previous albums, I love Bad Romance, it is still my favourite song of her, but it was about time for a real reinvention. I got bored of that old Gaga with the same poker face formula on her biggest hits. It was cool at a time but she is too talented to be stuck on that box. Nowadays I only listen to Bad Romance from TF/TFM tbqfh. She seems to be doing what she really wants now and I am loving it. I think she still has something to prove as a songwriter and that's what she is doing right now. I bet LG5 will be her best album to date. I have to say I completely love Perfect Illusion. The first half of the song is perfect. The second half of the song is indeed lyrically repetitive, but the melody changes, she sings "it was a perfect illusion" in many ways showing her awsome voice, not to mention the amazing key change. This is much better than in Poker Face where she repeats the exact same chorus six ****ing times after the bridge and then the po-po-po-poker face part more six times too. Poker Face could last 03:20 minutes, but it last 4 minutes because of this repetition. Perfect Illusion is an evolution imo. She and her producers made a catchy song with a more mature song writing.
