...she’s nailed the Golden Ratio sweet spot, 1.618, otherwise known as ‘Phi’... This divine scientific principle governs all sorts of things in the natural world, and composers like Bach loved using it to give shape to their compositions.

Is this called a key change too? :flop:

It doesn't sound like it, no. It just sounds like a beat drop.

I believe it actually is, aside from the obvious beat drop you can hear her go higher, especially in the "Greedy, ooh" party.

OT: Also slay, when you google key change the top two results and all news associated with it talk about P.I. :flop:

it wasn't laaaahv

HALP. TOO DEEP. Can someone translate this in layman's terms?

Everybody is mentioning the key change and I was too busy headbanging and I couldn't detect it in 1:50 or what this means or how great this is but I feel like this is so amazing.

Yes, that sounds like it is. Explaining a key change is really hard unless you're in some way a musician or were one...like for me, I can just hear major key changes like that. I have taken advance music theory and used to be a musician, but even then hearing that stuff isn't something I learned, but something I just heard and felt.

Let me try...so all music takes place in a certain key that pertains to the musical scale it is built upon (like a C scale; that scale has no musical flats or sharps). From there, the key will most commonly be major or minor (minor tends to sound darker and more melancholy while major is brighter)...so, going back to the previous example, the key could be based on a C Major or C Minor scale. When the key changes, it goes from one key (C major for example) to another (F major for example). Different keys have different musical nuisances as they are based on a different scale of notes with varying sharp or flat notes.

Yes that is

I'm glad Ariana hasn't released this song as a single yet otherwise people would've accused Gaga of copying Ariana Grande :smh:
