I don't really think you realize what this means.

This is a lady gaga fan site. People have been waiting for this song for years. Do you know how awful it must feel to not like it while the rest of the fanbase does? They must feel horrible, it's not just a matter of 'just ignoring it' or whatever.

I myself am not a big fan of the song. It did grow on me as I thought it was a disaster when I first heard it.

However, I don't think it's the right lead single or something I expected from Gaga after 3 years. That's just my own opinion and I've realized that there is no point in forcing myself to like it just because it's the new Gaga single.

You either like a song or you don't. It shouldn't take you more than 2-3 listens to like a song- that means the song is simply not for you. And that's okay.

Lets just wait for the album. I am excited for the Florence collaboration.

What fans were waiting for :

- Dance/pop song
- Something different, yet that feels home
- Gaga's vocals
- Catchy song, with a strong hook/bridge
- Good promo

What Gaga gave to her fans :

- Dance/pop song
- Something different, yet that feels home
- Gaga's vocals
- Catchy song, with a strong hook/bridge
- Good promo

What she didn't give:

A coherent sounding song

Not trying to be negative. But I hope you can understand where I'm coming from...

PREACH! It needed to be said and you did it so well.

Fans are always so picky about what they want when they don't even care what gaga wants.

There are songs that do grow on you but it should usually take 2-3 listens for it to grow on you and not several days.

I disagree with this though. I think that art should be enjoyed with context. That means that once there is a music video, more interviews detailing the process of making the song, the deeper meanings behind the lyrics, etc. you have more ways of connecting with the song. For example I didn't like Dance In The Dark at first but after getting all the references in the bridge, understanding the metaphor and watching a (very well done fan made) video, I started to like it and never skipped it while listening to the whole album.

I think the OP is just trying to tell everyone to be open, don't let your first impression with the songs or your expectation ruin the song and let it grow on you as you understand how Gaga had been after months of distancing herself with fans. It doesn't matter if anyone listens to him or not. The ones that do will realize one day that they miss out a gem and the ones that don't won't lose anything. Let him speak to the ones willing to listen.

I understand that you don't like it! But that's YOUR opinion on the song.

Maybe her next song(s) will appeal to you more (I hope)

I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time.

Not to mention that the song is not a typical pop song that can be digested in one go unlike almost everything on the radio. This is Gaga we're talking about. Her songs are oh so complex. Yup, you completely got it. Just be open guys! :poot:

This song gets better every time I listen to it. I was honestly disappointed initially. Now I feel like my brain adapted to the song and I crave it constantly. Its like it fills a void in my head that I didn't know was even there.

By expecting stagnation with EDM and RedOne and not liking rock :reductive:
