moonboywow 3,136
that drum beat at 1:49 and 1:50. I hear that being done in a lot of rock songs. Fetus fall out boy is the first thing that comes to mind. Also for some reason it reminds me of the opening of sugar we're going down, dance dance and this next song isn't by fall out boy but rather a band called the cab called bounce. VANTABLACK 7,793
I actually hate the drums they sound basic and like cardboard, I need more bass and guitar riffs louder .ugh I just want more rock and roll less pop .
moonboywow 3,136
Just now, VANTABLACK said: I actually hate the drums they sound basic and like cardboard, I need more bass and guitar riffs louder .ugh I just want more rock and roll less pop . Just because there's no epic guitar solo or something like that doesn't mean it's not a total rock song. Like centuries by fall out boy screams rock and roll to me. Rock has changed. Perfect illusion, to me, is so punk rock. Being yourself is the most punk rock thing you can ever do.
Ronk 14,762
I hear ya, but to me it sounds more like pop. But maybe you have something there, I like rock 10x more than pop, and I love PI. I live outside the space time continuum.

This is just my opinion but I would group perfect illusion in the same genre as this

I don't see a strong resemblance, but just my opinion. Bounce is considered to be Pop-Rock, which is what some seem to consider PI. I live outside the space time continuum. kizurl 1,801
It's more pop than rock though. It could afford ALOT more guitars, kick-drums etc. This is more or less what i was expecting..
giskardsb 12,565
It will be obvious when the full live band performances happen and guitars are loud in the mix.
