Regarding the success of PI and this era

The fanbase has to be realistic, if you expect Gaga to sell like crazy, dominate the charts, get dozens of awards, youre just deluded, no matter the music and the promo, reaching a massive peak like BR-BTW is extremely hard, not impossible, but very hard and it wont happen with just a song that doesnt even have a video yet.

First of all, shes not new anymore, in all these years she made a very specific kind of audience and bringing new fans in is harder at this point.

Secondly, after a 3 year hiatus she was forgotten from the pop world, she will recover but not in the level everyone expects.

Next, shes an artist full of stigmas and labels, shes pretty much known as a gay-only artist obsessed with art, gaining fans outside of this is just not that simple.

Now, dont get me wrong, I want her to rebound and rule the world again and i do think she can, but GIVE IT TIME, if PI or even the whole Lg5 doesnt do as you expect, then KEEP SUPPORTING HER, this era is a test for her and the whole fanbase and if we make it through together it will define her future in the business.

SHE NEEDS US, DONT GIVE UP ON HER IF PI DOESNT GO OR STAY AT #1 OR IF THE ALBUM SALES DONT BREAK RECORDS

BE REALISTIC BUT BE SUPPORTIVE

I'll support her forever as long as her music is good, I'm super excited for this album!

thats said, she's gonna lose her spot on top of iTunes soon and I'm gonna meltdown when it happens.

No it isn't. She just has to release music as good as Applause and Do What You Want and she'll sell like crazy. A LOT of people still care about Lady Gaga. The hype was so ****ing big this era and she let down everyone by releasing a terrible song.

I don't care that much if she has mainstream success or not. She is rich as piss, and could do whatever the hell she wants to. Im fine with that, as long as she pumps out more masterpieces.

Oh Jesus... The last thing she should've done is to release a song as Applause :madge:

I am HONESTLY DONE with all those who are SO ****ING OBSESSED with chart positions and/or sales. IF I ENJOY THE MUSIC I SUPPORT THE ARTIST NO MATTER WHAT PLACE THEY HAVE ON BILLBOARD HOT 100

Gaga is obv taking the 'Indie/Alternative Artist' route this era, & i'm here for it, she's not here for the charts or all that fake **** this era. LG5 is definitely whatever she wants it to be, & shes not trying to cater a 'GP friendly' sound to the public anymore.

If any 'Little Monsters' extremely dislikes or disapproves of this era/this new Gaga, they can just unstan or just become a casual listener, it's not Gaga's loss, she could care less.

Like why hate on your 'idol' if you claim to 'love her so much'?

I would think Applause was a less "GP-Friendly" single than Perfect Illusion. A lot more people can probably relate to the idea of falsely thinking they are in love. I'm sure some people could relate to living for the applause, but I imagine it would be a much smaller number.

But Applause became a hit, so maybe Perfect Illusion can do the same. If it does, great! If not, that's ok too, as long as she keeps making music!

You never know. I  remember during the BTW era, after MTN, she was so overexposed, I didn't think she'd ever have a hit again! But she did. Keep us guessing Gaga!
