Dwightie 159
I am getting so sick of Monsters and society in general being so damn wrapped up and consumed by what damn motherf ucking position songs debut at, albums debut at, what damn number a damn song or album is has absolutely nothing to do with the damn integrity of the music, it has no damn reflection of how great, or how awful, the music is. People need to get a damn life and listen to the music and form opinions of their own about it not let some damn illusionary number and some nonexistent intangible chart position and popularity determine a song or album or artist's worth. Any one else sick of this garbage about numbers and charts? Raise your paws if you are. Thank you. PS: Learn to start enjoying the actual music a bit more and stop being so damn concerned about numbers, it ain't our job to worry about this shi+, just enjoy the damn experience Lady Gaga is creating for us. SpookyKid 15,153
yes, music is supposed to be enjoyed, dance to it, cry to it, make memories, not to put a number on it and make a list Life has a hopeful undertone |-/
Ryusei 61,036
that's why it's easier to enjoy music by people that weren't ever high on the charts, there's no talk about that stuff. But I agree I'm kinda done with a thread about Billboard every 5 minutes Musery

Dangerous Man 9,245
Chart discussion is fun. Just don't take it seriously, or else you'll abandon your fave when they aren't slaying anymore. Bloody Matt 5,357
Charts are really interesting to look at when you want to understand the current trend/what people like at the moment. It's some kind of cool stuff imo. But when it ovrtakes anything else it gets toxic and bleah because to your eyes a piece of art just becomes a number. THAT is sad. barcodemonster 3,525
People are way too negative about chart positions. Think about how insane it is to monitor the sales of a song update by update and say things like "welp" when it gets a red update because it can't sustain a 30% lead over a song that is really popular right now. The song isn't over, the song is just getting started. It could fall out of the top ten, top 20 and come back and slay. It isn't a song that's going to slay right away because it's a grower. And I'm going to take this opportunity to call out @ViviLittleM. You're DEFINITLEY not the only person being negative, but in my eyes you're the most consistent about being negative about the charts in general. I was thinking about blocking you today just because it is unbearable seeing your negative posts when the song slightly falls in position, but I didn't because you do practically live on this site and post a lot of the informative threads. Anyway, don't take it too personal but yours and a lot of other people's negativity is too much sometimes. I think we should all focus on what really matters, the music! We have an entire album coming! The sales are just an extra bonus scan my barcode
Shitwrecked 183
Yes and no. It's a music business. They have to make money somehow. Fans are like mothers, they wanna be able to boast to their friends about how well their baby did, it's just natural.
