rock and indie bores me to tears and their fans overrate and criticise other genres (especially pop) and although our fanbase does that anyway I'm not here for more ego from her or them at all. She's just scared of being a ****ing flop still that's why she's trying too hard tbh.

What do you think rock and indie music sounds like though? It's such a large umbrella term. Even a band like CHVRCHES are classed as indie.

It's pathetic when people hate on pop music because it's literally not your fault that you like it, it's designed to be extremely likeable. If Gaga wants to lean towards making something from her typical formula then I think we should embrace it. I honestly think Gaga has yet to release her greatest material because she's been confined.

Its probably not all Rock, youve gotta think whos produced the song, Kevin Parker, Mark Ronson and Bloodpop!! 3 different genres of producers all rolled into one song!

Unless it's full on death metal (which it won't be), I'm really not concerned. I thought it would be an electro/rock hybrid anyway. I'm sure it's a very electro influenced rock song, especially on the chorus. Where music is right now, it wouldn't be right to just make yet another simple dance track. Gaga's been doing a certain brand of dance for too long, she needs to reinvent herself a bit. Playing it safe isn't really what's cutting it now anyway. Some of the most generic songs are flopping right now and all different kinds of songs are topping the charts. This isn't like the urban craze from 2003-2008 or the dance craze from 2008-2013. Nowadays, the world wants more than just one genre ruling the charts and at least wants people to do different things with a genre. Gaga would disappoint me if she made a basic dance track, anyway. It would be more likely to be overlooked if that were the case and she'd be called reductive and a one trick pony.

doesn't scare me it just bores me and makes me roll my eyes at her conforming to what everyone has been telling her to do, but since she has a hipster attitude about pop since she started being a flop she gets pressed and tries to hard. Period.

someone that stans 2012-gaga automatically renders their opinion irrelevant by default because she was hands down at her worst and actually most conformist and sassy in 2012. so what?

she is not conforming anymore than she ever has before.

she does not have a hipster attitude.

you ****ing weirdo.

Pop is such a loose term imo.

She's done heavy rock like Electric Chapel and more pop punk rock like MANiCURE before and country rock for You and I! This is not foreign territory!

She will blow you away! I have faith in my Gagaloo!

Kermit

It sounds no more rock/funk/disco influenced, than Cake By the Ocean. (Judging from what we've been given)

and this song was a hit.

If this fan base will be purged of the "Pop only" people (same people who avidly hated C2C) then so be it.

Excited for this tbh.:nails:

Darling, a producer does not indicate the song's genre. A person who can produce pop or hip-hop can easily veer into other things. Just because someone is in a box does not mean that they are stuck in the box.

Genre's are indicated by sounds, instruments, not those who produce.

All those producers can probably make a visual kei song just as well as their respective preferred genre. Might not do it well, at first, but they can get better.

music is just a bunch of sounds, arranged together. The genres are just certain specific sounds in certain ways, and maybe the subjects of songs, and the speed of the entire thing.
