It didn't come across as a question asking that, it came off as you telling people off when it's not your own experience of the song

Well yeah I also did that :derpga:

but I wrote this and its what I mostly meant

So instead of waiting and sharing our thoughts about what gaga recently shared ..why  would you ruin this amazing moment like   this After waiting for 3 years... and especially now that Gaga has been teasing the mv. Cant you wait until friday and listen to it for the first time , when its officialy released together with the mv ?! "

Not sure what the first part is referring to but ok. Anyways, the only people listening to leaks like this are the actual fans. Do you really think the GP cares enough to listen to a leak of a Gaga song. Heck, they might even be too unbothered to press a play button on Youtube and might just generally come across it on radio. Artists are not upset because it will stop fans from buying music, they're upset because it forces them to release early, while there were probably deals with radio stations, some of which could be paid for in order to have that exclusive premiere. Anyone who was going to buy it beforehand will buy it afterwards too. C2C sold 1 million copies mostly just because Gaga's name was on it. She'll be fine.

It was in reference to some of your reactions in the comments before about the single artwork etc. :laughga: which I wasn't trying to be rude by the way, I do apologize if I came across that way or anything.

I agree and disagree with some of this though. In this instance, like I've said, it won't have an affect. But in the event of a full song leak, it could. Fans didn't buy ARTPOP when it leaked and essentially turned their back on her because they didn't like the album or whatever. All I'm saying is that it does have the possibility to hurt an artist. Really in this situation, I'm just annoyed about the leak and the desire these people have to get their four hour claim to fame and attention they get with leaks. I mean, realistically, the song is coming in less than 38 hours, is it really necessary to post a 9 second snippet in really really bad quality? It's silly IMO.

I can't recall me commenting on the single artwork at all? :hmm:

I mean if they didn't like the album why should they but it, I wouldn't either. I always download albums because I want to listen to them before I buy them. I thought this was common practice. I'm not gonna pay for anything I might not like. Now about the leaker. I do agree it's completely unnecessary and just attention seeking. So do I think the leaker should be stopped? Without a doubt. I don't have any problems with people listening to the leaks though. If they're out there, might as well enjoy them. If someone doesn't want to ruin the surprise that's completely fine by me too. Of course I don't want the full song to leak but if it does I can certainly understand people listening to it.

I agree with you, came in here to say something similar.

Maybe I have you confused with someone. If that's the case, I redact my statements :madge:

I agree, and I do think a lot of fans do that to get a taste of the album, but you can't account for everyone. There are always going to be some fans who don't purchase the album because they have the album already. And my intention wasn't really to chastise anyone, just to vent really lol

Maybe I did comment on it, but I don't think so

At the end I think it all boils down to people's intentions. Let's be real, nobody would have to pay for music if they don't feel like doing so. I wouldn't even be able to afford to pay for all the music I listen too. The only music I buy is when I really like it and feel like the artists deserves some compensation for it. But I never really use albums, I just like looking at the artwork and collecting them.

To add to the conversation, I also feel like regardless of leaks, whoever is going to buy the album is going to buy the album anyway. If that makes sense. I dont always think leaks are quite as impactful as theyre made out to be. It just depends.

This is true. I usually only buy the physical album for display purposes anyways.

That leak sounded fake. And also horrible to be honest.

I agree. Leaks can have an impact, but not so much with regards to buying or not buying a song/album. One will always have the option to just download it illegally, whether it's leaked or officially released later on. You never have to pay for an album if you don't want to. Yet we still do (less and less) because we want to thank the artist and support them.

Looks like that's it for the leaking. It was super LQ anyway so everyone thinking Gaga's career is going up in flames over 1000 views on an 8 second clip can calm yaselves
