We maybe never know. But what I think he's doing is much more trying to approach and seem friendly or maybe neutral. Like they won't be bffs again but dont want to keep a bad vibe to them. That's exactly kindness that Gaga talks so much, and even if he's fake to some celebrities we shouldn't attack him for everytime he breathes. There are limits even between the best of friends and he clearly gone way far that limit, and no guarantee he won't repeat the same shxt again, especially when all he did is reporting bombastic things about celebs. He sees him spreading the release date as a negative impact to gaga because it hasn't been announced yet. He is trying to be like poisoned honey.
