And now my department has a special task force due to record low scores on the annual department job satisfaction survey. Things are basically awful. I feel u bro I'd try to find work except they moved me last year into a position where i don't work anymore I just meet on what changes happen for the people who do what i used to do. They made some decisions that worked in the short term, but really damaged our brand long term --- cutting jobs and budgets to meet short-sighted year-end financial figures. But, their strategy worked, because my company was successfully sold to new investors late last year. And then those new owners hired their own staff of outside analysts... Who were trained by the prior outside analysts.... So we had alien overlords advising alien overlords. All of them completely disconnected from the day-to-day work and long term health of our company. They are driving all of us who actually work for the company absolutely nuts However... The only positive is that one of our alien overlords is a former Olympic athlete and I have meetings with him sometimes and I'm always a blubbering mess because ... well... Olympic athlete.
