Morally ambigious songs you can't help but like?

There's nothing wrong with liking any kind of song. But there's no denying that there are certain ones that give any of us with a conscience a little bit of...pause that we like them. I like all types of music, so there's a wide spectrum for liking all manner of eyebrow-raising songs.

It makes me feel guilty because...they're about murder.

Spoiler

Ice Cube & Dr Dre - Natural Born Killaz

Eminem - 97' Bonnie And Clyde

AC/DC - Nightprowler

Notorious B.I.G. - You're Nobody (Till Somebody Kills You)

It makes me feel guilty because...they're about sexual abuse.

Spoiler

The Pretty Reckless - Sweet Things

Ludes - Girl With One Eye (though this one could fit into several categories!)

Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs - Li'l Red Riding Hood

It makes me feel guilty because...they're about cold-blooded and sick behaviour.

Spoiler

Marilyn Manson - Irresponsible Hate Anthem

Rihanna - Bitch Better Have My Money

Lil Kim - M.A.F.I.A. Land

D12 - American Psycho

Geto Boys - Still

It makes me feel guilty because...they disrespect women.

Spoiler

Buckcherry - Crazy Bitch

Nickelback - Something In Your Mouth

Alice Cooper - Trash

Eminem feat. Nate Dogg - Shake That

N.W.A - A Bitch Iz A Bitch

It makes me feel guilty because...they sing about an ex in a nasty way or are too personal.

Spoiler

Eminem - The Warning

Bruno Mars - Natalie

Ed Sheeran - Don't

I think some people might be very surprised by some of the stuff I listen to! I'm not nuts, honest! :stalkga: So, what are yours?

Lady Gaga - Mary Jane Holland

I don't smoke nor do drugs and I hate that Gaga does but I still love the song.

This song gives me a sexist vibe, but idk Nicki says "where them boys at" so maybe its fine, but I do feel guilty whenever I listen to it

Maybe its because I get a douchey vibe from David Guetta

I loved this song since it was released (back when I was in high school), but always felt guilty because it glorifies cocaine... And folks, there ain't nothing good about cocaine. There's nothing wrong with experimenting with drugs, to a point.... but cocaine will even turn a non-addict into an addict very, very fast.

But damn this song slays.

I actually prefer this Manson song, as it is essentially about the same thing, but it puts it in a much more realistic context... Does not glorify drugs, it actually criticizes them, but still gives an honest/real perspective.

And it also rocks. Who wouldn't be here for a Bowie-esque funk groove from goth rock god Marilyn Manson?

Another one that I really struggle with... Barbara Mason "Another Man." This early 80's R&B bop is a classic... CLASSIC. It's even featured in the iconic drag queen balls documentary 'Paris is Burning' .... but god damn, it's incredibly homophobic.

It's about a woman who discovers that her man is cheating on her with another man. Which is great --- an incredibly forward thinking topic for it's time (early 80's)...

...but

the lyrics are super cringey and outright hateful in 2016:

And I passed him on the steps one day
And he was switching more than I was
And I even caught them holding hands
Walking right down market street
We all know what market street is
He was so desirable
And this's gonna be such a waste

You know when you think everything is in place
And what you think you have is not what you really have at all
Because in my case what I thought I had was not a entire whole man
But a facsimile there of (ohh)
<-----
 :O :/ :/ :/
Wasn't the clothing or nothin', you know, I'm not

There was a certain kind of a way that he talked to me
His voice went up
You know, at first he was talking like, YEAH BABY
Then he went hello
And it kept going up and down
And there must have been, I figured, a defect
Of not when he was created
But somewhere down the line
Something went wrong

The irony is that this song is pretty much exclusively listened to by gay men. :oprah:

Lostprophets :rip:

I've never really liked their songs but occasionally when I've heard one since all that came out, it's awkward as hell.

Nirvana

There's many but the first that came to my mind was Metallica's cover of So what (Anti-nowhere league) It's a "bit" morally questionable...:emma: But many punk songs are like that, and it's not that serious song anyways...
