NOT FOR GAGA.

Yes it was, a lot of amazing songs came from that album. Applause, DWUW, Sexxx Dreams, GUY, Dope, Gypsy, Venus, MANiCURE and ARTPOP.

I agree to an extent but I guess I come from a mindset where being a pop star is almost like an umbrella term for me where she's able to experiment with different genres but still being able to hold that position in pop culture (to some extent) I don't think that makes any sense lol but it did in my head :laughga:

It makes perfect sense actually! Not comparing the two but sort of like MJ. No one would doubt he changed Pop Culture/Music forever, but no one would ever shun him for being a Pop Star either.

Just can't wait to hear this new masterpiece from her. Been listening to Tame Impala lately and I'm addicted to "Yes I'm changing". If Gaga graced us with a record similar I'd truly die

currents is such a good album, its very reassuring to have kevin parker involved. so hopefully! and with a gaga spin, it might really be magical.

I wish the album was produced just by Tame Impala and Gaga. I dont even need Ronson involved. Just imagine Gaga´s version of Currents.

Its basically confirmed at this point. Critics love it when popstars go outside the box and work with indie/alternative acts see Carly Rae Jepsen/ Charli XCX. Even Lemonade has a lot of indie collaborators and its her most acclaimed yet. I would be really surprised if the critics slammed it. This is her most musically interesting set of collaborators yet.

ShadyGa says hi :hor:

this.

why worry about acclaim from critics that only get together to circle jerk and bash pop stars and not actually critique music. i personally would only care about the opinions of music legends.

and also shame on the critics and fans that think her success solely relies on the producers she collabs with & that somehow theyre the genius behind the music and not her; they show no faith or support in her abilities.

like for example, i get we all love her with redone, and all their songs together are bops, but have u heard his non-gaga related stuff? when you separate her from the producer, u realize who the real genius is :classy:
