Pacify Him 9,073
Just now, elijahfan said: Yes, he's one of my faves as well. I love how he always keeps pushing boundaries, not to mention the fact his films talk to me on a personal level. And I just love being shocked, I'm not ashamed to admit it To me, it doesn't look like he's trying to push boundaries. His movies didn't even make controversy, even though they are, I just think he makes them any way he wants them to be. It's all his and it all comes natural to him because he is an indie director. Also, my first GGD name is actually Satyromaniac inspired by that movie ofc What do you do, if I may ask? I’m getting on your nerves

Oh well I do think Lars is a dirty lil boy He knows what he's doing and how it will impact people. And the good thing with him is that even though he's a self-admitted provocateur, his provocations never feel gratuitous. In the context of his stories and his artistry, it just makes sense. Which proves that he's really a great story-teller and director, and not a vulgar prankster like many of his haters would describe him. I'm a costume supervisor for film and television - I basically style and dress actors. This month I've been working on Michel Hazanavicius' new film (he's the director of The Artist), which stars Stacy. It made me discover that she's completely fluent in French - she's actually half-British, half-French, which I didn't know before.
dlioncourt91 765
It was more a Madonna homage if anything.
ReidOne 12,427
The only thing controversial about it was how hard she was trying and yet it still flopped so hard. Sure, it got some press at the time for it's shocking scenes, etc... but it was hardly a "controversy". Mostly because, the GP just did not care. Yes, indeed!! ...and for anyone who isn't familiar, this is not a reach. The "closet burning" scene is a direct lift from the iconic scene in "Freedom" where George burns his leather jacket from his iconic "Faith" video 3 years before (which was also his 'trademark' image).
