AHS 6 Anthology Theory

Not sure if anyone had this theory yet, but I have an idea about this season. I know they said that one of the teasers is the "real" teaser, but I don't know what information is reliable or trustworthy. If they truly want it to be a secret, some information given to us could be a misdirect to further that mystery.

But I thought about the series as a whole. It is an "anthology series", meaning that each season is a stand-alone story (aside from some crossover characters and links). What if this season is an "anthology season," meaning each episode would be a stand-alone episode with its own short story? The one teaser is called "Anthology."

It leaves so much room for creativity. I feel like that could explain the unrelated promo videos and posters, as well not much information about the actors portraying certain characters. They might not be committed to a single role and may not even be featured in every episode.

Idk if this would even be a good idea or make any sense. What do you think?

Very Goosebumbs and only having one episode per story couldn't show character development.

It would be very 'goosebumps' of them to do that :awkney:

Goosebumps isn't the only show to do this. I'm thinking Twilight Zone or Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

I like it, in a way, bc (since the episodes would be self-contained) it would force them to make the episodes more fast-paced and story-driven (and in the US this is the kind of show that works better, apparently), but, on the other hand, all characters would have to become very "flat" (there wouldn't be a lot of time to explore them and make them tridimensional or to create proper arcs for them...), which would change the whole tone of the show (I mean AHS has always been very "character driven" to me).

Idk, it would be interesting, but if they really plan to bring it all together in the next seasons, I think this approach would make that process very complicated...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

I'm torn because it's a cool idea but AHS struggles to create solid story and character arcs over whole seasons. Restricted to single episodes could either remedy that or make it unbearable

That would be like watching a mini movie every week. Not really into it UNLESS the episode IS movie length. If they're gonna tell a story per episode, better make it long and good :sis:

Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

This is what I've been saying since they revealed it to be ten episodes, I would love it, it forces them to create simple small stories instead of dragging out convoluted and boring stories

Not saying this is likely to happen...just an idea. It would be interesting to see if they could pull off something like this.  I could see it being a hit or failing miserably.

I agree with the show being very character driven, so that would be difficult to do if the season was done in this style.

Excited no matter what! I like the rural theme or Hollywood theories too. We'll find out soon!
