Reminds me of those people on YouTube who hate everything mainstream and claim that everyone copies indie artists (ibvious through their reviews). In short: they weren't objective.

He says the album is so good that it cannot be rated to the absurd five-dot system.

Every journalist - and all the hate they bury - eventually dies but Born This Way will live on forever.

No I think he's being completely sarcastic and making fun of her for apparently being pretentious. I mean the related artists on the review are T.S. Eliot and Marie Lloyd :awkney: If you read through the whole thing it becomes pretty clear that he's poking fun at her. They don't normally write like that, the review for ARTPOP is much more normal.

At the time it was a big thing. Monsters were PISSED. I think this site is weighted quite largely on MC, so the score would probably be much higher than it currently is without a zero from an apparently reputable publication.

I don't think so, but whatever he is irrelevant anyways. :classy:

The review is sarcastic, guys :interestinga:

He literally gave it a zero and people still think it's a good review.

Only on GGD.

"when <<LADY GAGA>> sings of riding to “the edge of glory” or declares her intention to “raise hell in the street, drink beer, and get into trouble,” she not only joins that fine class of rebel American poets, but changes the relations, proportions, values of each work within that tradition"

"Born This Way is at once a quintessential American Odyssey and perhaps the nation’s finest realization of the Wagnerian Gesamtkunstwerk, a total aesthetic synthesis of sound, vision, poetry, drama, and fashion."

"In a lyrical ballad titled “Hair,” the artist locates the perfect correlative for such liberty. The song’s refrain moves like the wind that has blown, continuously, through America’s tonsorial history, ruffling the dashing manes of Franklin and Jefferson no less than the tightly-coiled locks of Malcolm X and Rosa Parks"

How could this not be read as sarcastic :awkney:

Lol....

I have always supported the fans lowering expectations, but this is a little out of hand. That rock bottom moment when little monster celebrate for getting 0/100 reviews for LG5 :icega:

I did the maths, and if I'm not wrong, ignoring the 0 you get only a 72 :madge:

(Don't come to me if I'm wrong, I suck on maths :classy:)
