I think this was her way of saying ok fine take how many pictures u want of me but I'm in control I do what I want . And u can see it in her face so many thoughts were going though her mind like"what am I even living for , do I even want to do this anymore" gaga has even said when she does these crazy things it's usually because there's deep deep pain behind it . Like the swine performance at sxsw, Its evident in this video she's expressing her pain through art and all u hear is "GAGA LOOK THIS WAY , STAND LIKE THIS,do this pose, CAN I TAKE A PICTURE, and they are making jokes being loud and verbally abusive treating her like a zoo animal while they Can see she's crying . THINK BOUT WHATS GOIN ON IN HER KIND. "I know I'm such a big star but why do people treat me like an object, I'm human too" I think this is the moment she realized she can't always have it her way and she has to fight a lot to keep it her way because people using her only for money and to their own benefit and not realizing she is a real human with sadness and emotions and not a robot . I used to love marina esp her work in 80s her ridiculous rude hideous comments the past 2 years have really saddened me .....Esp the most recent a week ago - Plus I know 2 people who worked under her & she's a vicious cow. You're making a huge, broad statement about ARTPOP that simply just isn't true. There was a lot of symbolism and metaphorical meaning within ARTPOP. The name itself is a statement. It's her putting "ART" in front of "POP", letting the artist take control through things like Creative Rebellion. antpats2 4,200 Posted August 22, 2016 Share Posted August 22, 2016 This is so underappreciated just like the other things Gaga did around this time (the interview with like 20 seconds of silence etc). THIS IS WHAT ARTPOP IS ALL ABOUT She wanted to put ART in the front of POP and insert it into pop culture. Specifically, Performance Art. THAT is why she met with Marina Abramovic. Gaga is a huge fan of her and meeting her was truly a life-changing experience. Unfortunately, the world just saw it as another "attempt at getting attention" and that it was "typical Gaga". When it was something totally new. She used those crazy outfits and lyrics for a true purpose this time and the media overlooked it completely, and unfortunately so did the fan base. The first half of the era was ART and the last half was POP. She started off with Applause and wore the face make-up in public, then she went to London and dressed up into her Venus persona with the frizzy hair and white powdered face, with the ripped white dress while barefoot. She stood on a remaining broken part of the Berlin wall and walked slowly again, just as she did in this video. But nobody understood it/her and I think that really contributed to her depression which was why we barely saw her during December 2013/January 2014. She released one final single while taking a new approach BUT she still kept the ART in front. She made the video at a CASTLE and basically took us through the history of art. As amazing as that video was, the media had already tainted the album and fans were basically brainwashed into believing it was bad when in fact it was one of Gaga's most important albums to date. After that, she began the tour and we started to see the normal-Gaga pre-ARTPOP where she stuck to performing and didn't really try anymore with the performance art stuff. The tour was also much shorter than her previous two tours (she cut out south america, south africa and New Zealand and did a significantly smaller amount of shows in Asia and Australia) Remember how she wanted to quit music? That's probably why the tour ended so soon. She probably just wanted it over. So thank God Tony was there for her to help her and to keep her making pop music because even though the media failed her, at least she had one person who she truly knew believed in her.
