Should Gaga release her album on a Thursday?

Her first day sales would probably be enough for her to debut at number one on the BB200, so if she released it on a Thursday, maybe she could get 2 weeks at number one.

What's the big deal around Fridays tho?

If someone wants to buy an album, they'll buy it, regardless on the day :laughga:

Lmao only Adele or Taylor Swift can do that. It's doubtful Gaga will even go #1 with a full week of tracking.

Chart positions are based on a weekly cycle, Friday to Friday. So if she releases on a Friday, that's 7 days of sales, airplay, and streaming to wrack up points for a higher chart position.

Friday is the first day in the billboard tracking week so if you release your album on Friday you have a full 7 days for people to buy the album and have it count towards your first week sales, it maximizes the amount of sales you get.

What? If released in a normal tracking week, Gaga would easily top the chart. Hell, she'd go number one this week if she released this week.
