Absolutely. Her roots are within rock music—as well as jazz—and that hasn't been a secret. She's definitely been open about her musical influences and such, and honestly, I'm really hoping for something new, something different—yet concise.

At this point in time, I'm anticipating either a psychedelic rock or disco/funk single. The colors from the banner are certainly vibrant, and with the use of her quote that "Perfect Illusion" is about "modern ecstasy", plus the fact that Kevin Parker's worked on the lead—with Ronson—makes me think that it's likely going to be psychedelic rock.

However, like I said, A disco/funk single might also be likely, but my only 'evidence', I suppose, is the vibrant colors as well as the fact that it's been considered a "dance anthem". Psychedelic rock is certainly not a "dance anthem" genre, so maybe disco/funk??

But, it's most likely going to be a Bad Romance 2.0, maybe a little more light-hearted, though.
