We got our first extended look at Gaga’s schmacting on “American Horror Story: Hotel,” where her turn as the ghoulish Countess felt inspired by her “Bad Romance” music video — icy and affected. Her resulting Golden Globe win caused my PTSD. Sure the singer took part in a just-hot-enough-for-cable blood orgy, OK she rocked murderous, Cutco fingernails. Gaga’s cardinal sin was that she had no sympathetic or human qualities. She never does. Despite tossing catchy dance hits to the curb in favor of Rodgers and Hammerstein tributes and classy collaborations with Tony Bennett, she’s forever our girl in the egg-mobile.
