I think she means her 5th album of her own because I remember watching an interview and she said that she counts the fame monster as her second album because she wrote loads of songs for it but was only able to release an ep because of her label because they wanted a re-release and she dident want that

I consider The Fame Monster her second album and I agree with you guys. I forgot for a second that she called Born This Way her third. It also makes sense that LG is for solo album, perhaps next year we'll get LGTB2 ? lol at these discussions.

Cheek To Cheek is effectively TBLG1 if we're gonna do it that way.

Gaga has said many times that TFM is a record on its own terms. Even though it's called an 'EP', 8 tracks at 34 minutes in length is far longer than a typical EP, so even speaking technically it should be referred to as an album. Amy Winehouse's Back to Black, for example, also runs in total at 34 minutes.

TFM only got the EP tag slapped on it because of the awkward nature of its release... the label clearly just wanted to boost the sales of TF after her astronomical breakthrough, but Gaga came back with an entire album's worth of material.

Commercially speaking it's difficult. But when it comes to the music and the "bodies of work", it's an album. The new album will be her fifth.

The Fame Monster has 8 tracks and is 34:09 long.

"While an album may contain as many or as few tracks as required, the criteria for the UK Albums Chart is that a recording counts as an "album" if it either has more than four tracks or lasts more than 25 minutes."

The general rule for makes in EP is 4 or less tracks. The Fame Monster was marketed as an EP to boost the sales of The Fame by making a dual album edition. It's a full album in its own right, you were just told by Interscope it wasn't because they wanted you to buy The Fame a second time.

She includes The Fame Monster in there. She treats it as a full album due to the way it was promoted and the distinct difference in its themes from its parent album The Fame. She does not treat C2C as a LG album because, technically, it's an LG&TB album.

I would abbreviate it as TBLG1 since Gaga honors her accomplished collaborators by naming them first, and for the fact that there's a sequel confirmed (TBLG2).

*shrugs* sure. The labeling doesn't matter as much to me as the fact that Gaga doesn't consider it an album with the LG prefix.
