gagzus 15,785 Posted August 16, 2016 Share Posted August 16, 2016 Disclaimer: Ok so I wasn't too sure which forum to put this in, so since we associate Gaga with AHS now and we talk about the season theories etc so... Also this is just my theory I could be completely wrong so don't hold me to it. Ok so to begin, we must first look at the teasers we have so far- as you may have seen my theory before I believe that this season is influenced by classic horror. I've seen clear references to classic and iconic horror from the 1950s - 1980s in the teasers. The farm house/meat hooks = The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The cot with the demon hand = Rosemary's Baby, The lady walking the stairs with the shadow following her = Nosferatu, the family with the glowing eyes = Invasion of The Body Snatchers, the floating body in the corn field = Children of The Corn and the infamous "cheesy" one with the lady in the lagoon = The Creature of The Black Lagoon. Now as we know AHS follows a pattern of one season in modern times and then another in an earlier time, and obviously since Hotel was modern S6 will be retro. So my theory is what if these horror references are a link to the time, most likely being the 50s-70s and (like someone else has mentioned) I believe that the references may mean that this season the characters will play none other than actors on the set of a horror movie being made in this era. Most likely my theory is they'll play off murder mystery aspects like actors, crew and others start dying whilst making the film. As an added extra they will probably play off those age old rumours of the actress who was murdered making TCM and her on-screen murder was in fact a snuff murder (aka real). So to summarise my theory is they will play actors on the set of a retro horror movie and they start dying mysteriously. One will even die on the set whilst filming with everyone as well imo to add true horror. as for the title American Horror Story: Hollywood sounds plausible and isn't too bad of a title. There's a reason they don't connect: only one is real, and the rest Ryan's team have put together to throw us off. They don't want us to know the theme of the season yet, hence the "?6" in every teaser. Now that we know that, we have to start trying to figure out which one is real. "Every year, we lay out the themes and the new genre Ryan [Murphy] is going to be approaching; we thought it’d be fun [this year] to keep it a mystery — so we are. There are many more trailers than you’ve actually seen for hypothetical seasons of American Horror Story — different genres, different places. One of them is accurate; the others are all misdirects." Also, set pics leaked which are related to the Roanoke Native American tribe who came into contact with white colonists, and disappeared years ago. So the theme is pretty much confirmed to be related to Native American Indian's and their culture in some way. Also they were filming at Murder House so that's connected. I'm guessing the teeth trailer is the real one, because the wind chime looks sort of Native American to me, and there's a nurse which coincides with the rumour they were filming in a nursing home/hospital. Really? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croatan And here are the set pics that reveal without a doubt the involvement of the Croatan Indians and the Roanoke colonists, as well as some of the setting and time period: Spoiler which, by the way, compare perfectly with the Wiki image on the Croatan page: Although Ryan confirmed it will be mainly set in the present. And also that there are themes that revolve around children. (which is why I personally believe the teeth teaser is the real one, and the rumours of Gaga being an unconventional, gross, fairy could be true. But I see her more as being a creature who collects teeth of her victims like a 'tooth fairy'. But that guess is quite far out. I'm also guessing Native American beliefs and spiritualism will come into play, like magic, rituals, and hallucinogenic drugs. Also I see the foresty setting being true, given the set pic leaks, and fact they were filming at Big Bear Lake which is surrounded with forest. And for me, that rules out any of the desserty teasers. Plus AHS has already done mutant creatures, aliens, ghosts and vampires so I've ruled out those trailers too.
