I remember when she first made it I was so blinded by anger over the whole situation that I couldn't really take time to understand the situation. (Given I was so hyped for the whole ARTPOP era I was quite devastated at how much it failed, not commercially, but from Gaga's POV) Reading back on it, it really gives us perspective, we really don't, nor did we know back then, what happens behind the scenes. Money clearly talks in these kind of situations. Spoiler It also makes me kind of sad to see how optimistic Gaga sounded with the whole "The next few months will be ARTPOP's true beginning" because, as we seen, nothing really happened except for a bombing single and the era was kinda just buried with the tour. She really tried hard that second half of the era to make everything up, she did do a decent amount of promo, had many amazing looks, SXSW, and Roseland. There is no doubt that Gaga had read a majority of the overwhelming amount of hate/dragging comments from her 'fans' regarding the video delay and sudden lack of promotion. I don't think they have much contact with Gaga other than to approve her music and decide the major things like release dates and singles choices. Ultimately they're just men in suits. They're not the close friends and creatives that let her down during her time of need. I like to think Gaga has gained strength from this whole experience and is hopefully more in control of her career. That's why I will happily wait till next year for new music if she doesn't feel ready yet. The last thing I want is to read another post like the one in the OP, so if Gaga needs more time then she should listen to no one but her intuition.
