It's so interesting and so different from the original, studio version. This performance not only showcases her vocal abilities a lot more, but it almost makes the song sound tragicāin the sense that it sounds mysterious and saddening.Ā Dare I say I'm starting toĀ like this acoustic performance better than the original version. So, I was wondering: What if Applause had been released as a ballad?
