Gaga NOT on GMA on August 19

what im actually most angry about is that this bitch cant just say to us that single is not coming this month, so we can be in peace,im so mad at her rn bcs she knows we are literally going crazy, by the end of month we will all end up in hospital

I really don't understand why everyone is upset if this doesn't happen...her and her team never gave any indication that this would happen. It was a bunch of people looking cryptically at a "tbd" label on the date and making something out of nothing. 

It's no surprise now the release will be more of a surprise and will happen when it happens. Best advice is to not fall into the hype of all these "insiders" and just wait for everything to fall into place. Expect nothing.

I think it's smart of her team to keep everything shut tight and then release with an onslaught. That's the way it works better now it seems. I truly feel part of the backlash against ARTPOP from fans and critics alike is that she hyped the hell out of the album beforehand, talking about it with airy verbiage that didn't quite make any sense and whatnot, and then when it didn't match the expectations she explicitly laid out, everyone used it against her. This time around, I think silence is golden.

Beyond that, am I the only one who thinks she's going for more of an Adele "25" release schedule? Idk...the VMAs would be nice but for this, does she really need the Summer Concert Series? I don't think so. Why can't she do performances on GMA and other shows independently from things like "summer concert series"? She can and her and many artist have before. I think it's super limiting to think she HAS to perform at these things in order to promote because she doesn't. She'll make her own ways to promote.

This. No idea why people are assuming GMA is required booking or that it has anything to do with the VMAs or whether she'll release this month. Has every pop act debuted a summer single on GMA? Where are these goal posts ya'll keep moving?
