The Surrealist 27,470
Hey, GagaDaily. Today I'm going to talk about Mulholland Drive by my favorite director David Lynch. "It is a 2001 American neo-noir mystery film written and directed by David Lynch and starring Justin Theroux, Naomi Watts, Laura Harring, Ann Miller, and Robert Forster. It tells the story of an aspiring actress named Betty Elms (Watts), newly arrived inLos Angeles, California, who meets and befriends an amnesic woman (Harring) hiding in an apartment that belongs to Betty's aunt. The story includes several other seemingly unrelated vignettes that eventually interlock, as well as some surreal and darkly comic scenes and images that relate to the cryptic narrative." - Wikipedia The movie was nominated for an Oscar for Best Director. And you can see why. The atmosphere dream-like sequences play off as a stimulation accompanied by eerie music and effects. Mulholland Drive was quickly trashed at the first screenings but regained cult status and good critics as people moved along to understand Lynch's film style. The acting done by co-lead Stars Naomi Watts and Laura Harring is amazing. It launched a successful movie career for Watts. If you haven't seen the movie already, now it's the time. It is better to not know anything before watching it, but to encourage you I will leave you a few Gifs. It will be much more intriguing than these Gifs, trust me. djBuffoon 12,115
Possibly the best movie of the 2000's so far. At least in the top five. It's a work of genius, no question about it.
Lord Temptation 11,209
It's the ARTPOP of films! It literally could mean anything. Hint: if you find the knife, send it straight to Hollywood.

Wixson 5,004
"Silencio" I keep seeing all sorts of official and fan-made Mulholland Drive posters online and most of them are stunning! Aren't these beautiful? I still don't understand how Naomi Watts didn't get an Oscar nomination for her performance. @Sycamore just wondering, have you by any chance seen the Jake Gyllenhaal-led Enemy? It's a mind**** of a movie and reminded me of MR in so many ways.
