Commercially, lyrically, or what?

Nah I don't think Commercially (if you mean how well it will sell) but outdo as in sound better than or be an album of a greater quality (vocals/production/lyrics)

I honestly think LG5 is going to disappoint a lot of fans TBH...

but I'm down for the change in sound

I have a strong feeling it will top all of her previous albums. I mean it seems every album she reveals a more honest version of herself and I think LG5 will basically be her most vulnerable album yet.

In that case, it has to outdo the Production of The Fame Monster. A good mixing and mastering, unlike BTW and ARTPOP. It has to outdo the BTW lyrics. When it comes to vocals she has to outdo all of her albums.

Commercially, ARTPOP, I guess.

But I'm more interested in terms of concept and message, and that will be Born This Way.

Totally agree, 100%. Cause like BTW&ARTPOP are overproduced in some places, lyrically BTW speaks volumes with the title track, The Edge Of Glory, MTN, Hair and more. Vocals wise, I feel she never gave it her all in any of the albums, it's like sometimes live versions of her songs sound better than the studio ones.

But commercially wendy1.gif don't expect it to sell 5 million copies... I predict 1 million. I don't think it will sell that much worldwide.

Why would she have to outdo ARTPOP commercially, it's her least commercially successful, I'm sure LG5 would do better than it commercially, the question is will it sell more than her previous albums. Anyways lets focus on which album it has to outdo quality wise.

The Fame Monster is her best and most cohesive, so if she wants to top her best, that's it.

I don't think we have anything to worry about. This is a new Gaga coming. She's ready.

That'll make the comeback for the most part in terms of commercial success. I mean, it could go the Lotus way and be worse.

I really don't think she could do TF/TFM/BTW numbers this time, not after years of absence and with a sinking music industry.

Look at Ariana, with a critically well received album, talent proved, good promotion and just 2 years after her last pop release that was actually successful and she's now struggling to sell her material. :emma:
