it's the full video, a bit long, but really worth watching it. :diane:

— the kids sing a medley of gagz hits

Glamour+Honors+23rd+Annual+Women+Year+In

— marina talks about gaga's artistic integrity & cultural importance

— and gagz herself talks about her true mission (activism) that actually coincides with the core message of ARTPOP

she's "just a pop star in disguise" (gagz) who is "not there to rule the world, she's there just to change it" (marina). :tea:

Those kids singing about drinking too much :rip:

the point is that they demonstrated hard work and rehearsed a lot and they should feel really proud because that's the work ethic that will carry them into the future. :lolga:

Tbh i was really confused with the whole marina feat gaga thing during pre applause era ,

it made me think ARTPOP would be very psychedelic and less catchy pop music but we all know how that went

Walk down the runway but don't puke, it's okay. You just had 10 donuts today. Without frosting.

what connects marina and gaga is performance art, not a specific type of music. they both look at themselves (their bodies) as a blank canvas (an instrument) onto which they can project their art. it is artistic integrity that truly resonates with them: they both live and breathe their work. marina said that the word 'ARTPOP' had good vibrations, meaning that gaga's intention behind the album and the concept itself had the potential to change culture, whether it's pop or art culture. (imo, to a certain extent, she did.)

in short: marina did not affect gaga's vision of the music; rather, she influenced the way in which gagz approached and tried to make the concept of ARTPOP work.

Yeah i guess but still, all that marina , jeff koons and robert wilson promo only makes you think that the music will Be something very very different and risky, But when you listen to ARTPOP (which is fav album) you feel like it was less about the art (The genre, lyrics, production) and more about nostalgia Of her career(She said that she wanted to make fun pop music similar to The fame) and mainstream music

i love the speech & message but i notice how much more drawn out it was after Malala. maybe she needed to fill in a time slot, though. (?)

I really hope she's still friends with Marina and they collab sometime in the future. I doubt it though
