My guess is mental illness and I don't blame her for not wanting to come clean just yet if that is the case. There's such an ugly stigma attached to it which needs to change. The mom has said that she is afraid for her daughters well-being and its speculated that she could possibly have schizophrenia since fans have noticed that she appears to be frightened over things that aren't really there. There was a tweet by a verified account on Twitter saying that Marina abuses drugs and she basically gave up on her as a friend since she stopped helping her since Marina didn't accept the help. It's almost like she doesn't understand that her subscribers increased because of how odd her recent video is but rather, she thinks, it's because people care about her now and she's becoming successful.
