I think this will predominately take place sometime in the mid-late 1900's with flashbacks to the origins of what's going on (possibly a cult started by the people of Roanoke?). I don't think they would go colonial for a whole season. Personally, I'm hoping for 1970's with a bit of a Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe.
