Bloody Mary on The Fame Monster

Bloody Mary fits the sound of TFM and could've been Fear of Reality since it talks about Mary Magdalene and her understanding of Jesus fulfilling his task while also having her moment of reality being afraid to let him go

The Clinton Sparks remix just basically Bloody Mary rearranged and sped up. It's boring. It's essentially a try hard attempt at turning a nondance song into a dance song.

I'll admit his remix of Heavy Metal Lover is amazeballs, but his Bloody Mary remix is just lazy.

Bloody mary was on many rumored tracklists for The Fame Monster. Not to mention some leakers have talked about having it, and these were trusted leakers at the time.

Not to mention, rob Fusari said he heard Born This Way in 2007.

Also, Bloody mary has the line "my religion is you" from Teeth. At that time, gaga was reusing a lot lyrics, if you compare some lyrics from Dance in the dark and Greatest, you'll see the "fall apart line" is similar.

It isn't like Gaga has to create new things for every album. She may just update old demos.

Though the OP has it wrong. @VasilisVas bloody mary was in place of So happy I could Die.

Eh? Care to elaborate?

He's been hearing it since it was first released in 1989 :sis:

But seriously, I also remember 'Bloody Mary' being a title track related to Gaga long before BTW... Maybe its just a title people associated w/ Gaga tho

This is something that I always felt interested about. Good to find a Thread <3

Searching around, Found one blog from 2009 that had the rumored tracklist with "Bloody Mary" and few other stuff.

BM is one of my favs all time (And also So Happy I Could Die so the fact both were released make me feel better n)

Kinda off topic but no at all: Years ago I remember someone posted a picture\printscreen of a folder with Files\Songs. I remember one of them was "Bloody Mary (Red One demo)" (But that's also the only thing I remember LOL). Anyone else?

There's an original redone version laying around here somewhere and no one will leak it.

But I put bets on it sounds nearly exact to that godawfully boring Clinton Sparks remix.

what?? how do yo know that? why don't I know that?

anyways BM is my fav song too. I think it fits more on BTW because it's it's very dark and experimental. TFM was more radio friendly. Not yet ready for BM's experimental satanic slayage

It fits the religious theme of born this way better. And I haven't heard the original version but judging from what we have now, it sounds sonically more similar to BTW

Fear of religion? Of being treated the way a religious icon is? (killed, tortured, not respected, etc)

I remember her saying that she wanted the song to "sound avant garde" which I love and think they achieved. I love Bloody Mary so much   I'm glad we got it in the form it currently is.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
