Yeah ok but everyone laughs at Bieber's fans too and the thought of going to one of his concerts fills the average person with dread and embarrassment within an instant. No one wants to be part of that. Wants to be seen amongst that herd.

I don't know, I do think it has impact, and I do think it's bad for Gaga in the long run. We don't want her to be remembered as a fan servicing pop star. I know she contributed herself to that image but I can't stand it. This unspoken idea that you have to be a full-fledged Little Monster to be appreciative of Gaga on a higher level than "she's got good pipes, I'll give her that" has, imo, directly contributed to her decline in public interest. But that's just me.
