Depends of the competition, the radio deal & her streaming.

Predict Lady Gaga's lead single first week sales here:

That's true, I forgot that Katy didn't have a strong radio deal. It probably would've debuted top 10 if it did.

Katy didn't put her single on Spotify during the entire tracking week and had no radio deal. If she had done so, it would be aiming for a much higher debut, perhaps even Top 5.

If Gaga releases the single on a Friday and to all platforms including Spotify and puts out the music video on VEVO on the same day, it will debut very high. Even a Top 5 debut is possible for her.

Monsters better listen to the song on Apple Music & Spotify (if it's not Apple Music exclusive)

Does it really even matter? No matter what, it will get people talking, every era always has. Shes an IMPACT ARTIST. She keeps every one on their tippy toes (Katy even stated that in an ancient interview, ha.)

Like even a debut top ten lead single is still REALLY GOOD. Like if it doesn't hit number one its considered a flop in stan culture, and that's pretty flipping pathetic, and not to mention irritating. :saladga:

Have faith in Gaga kweens. I have a feeling LG5 is going to explosive, some new material mixed with glam pop bops. :firega:

Through the fire; we're born again.

I just hope there isn't some no talent, catchy, meme of a song to block it. I'll be so pissed if some sh*t like Panda is higher than the lead.

Not really fair to compare it to "Rise" since it's not a first single and the song kinda sucks...

Also since it's gaga's comeback, even if people might be whatever about her right now, they will be curious enough to check out the single = streaming points (considering she'll make it available on spotify- which is "Rise isn't)

Obviously, it's her comeback.

Living for Love was Madonna's comeback.

Not Myself Tonight was XTina's comeback.

Madonna was banned from radios, Xtina was over.

It would be great if the song reached number one but as long as she gets another top ten I'm fine.

On a week like this, #6 is my prediction

I did the math using the Billboard Hot 100 formula with these stats:

120k downloads
8m youtube views (assuming she'll put the video out that week)
5m spotify streams
30m audience impressions

Those stats seems reasonable to me and it means she'll earn 270-280 points which will place her at #6. Of course it varies week to week due to competition

Regardless, saying its a comeback isn't a valid reason for it to do well lol.

Neither of those were comebacks, they were just lead singles after they hadn't released music in a little bit like every artist, a true comeback is when someone releases a song after a super long break/ fall from the public eye.

3 years for Madonna, 4 for Xtina. That's as long of a break as Gaga had. But anyway, we'll agree to disagree. Simply put, sometimes comebacks fail. I really hope Gaga's doesnt. Either way as long as the music is good, I'm happy
