All i remember is once that pop emergency happened and Applause was not number one on iTunes i wanted to start a ****ing riot OT: I watched live in 2013 and i didn't think she was and most people obviously wouldn't. The only parts when she did lip sync was when she was dancing so much to an extent where singing it live would actually make the performance worse. There's also certain parts in the song—and I've noticed this throughout several songs—where she sings differently [from the original track] and/or sings certain parts and not others, for example the "Put your hands up, make 'em touch!", she sings that, but doesn't sing certain parts around it. Also, the costume changed forced her not to be able to sing. You just can't sing well while trying to frantically put on a costume. Joshie S 6,078 Posted July 19, 2016 Share Posted July 19, 2016 You know.. as a devoted little monster who can tell Gaga's vocals ANYWHERE (lip syncing or real), I actually feel quite PROUD that people think she lip syncs, based on the fact that everyone who says she lip syncs obviously thinks it sounds ABSOLUTELY GREAT and PERFECT therefor she MUST be lip-syncing... but the real fact is, SHE'S NOT, IT'S LIVE! That's what makes me proud Like obviously there's backing tracks, but as I've said, I can decipher which are her live vocals and soundtrack.
