I'm done lamenting. I heard Born This Way played in a furniture shop radio. I walk out and i realize the whole mall was tuned to the same station. Yaaas Gaga! Slay! :queenga: Emmys who? :stalkga:

Question, little meltdowners: if we had to chose--would you rather Gaga have radio or streaming on her side? Discuss. :v:

EDIT: poll added :staymad:

Streaming would gt her higher on the charts.

Radio would give her more exposure.

So idk lol

Probably radio because more people listen to radio which means more people are exposed to her music and more people will buy it

Streamers seem to know more about the updates on music world, but the GP relies on the radio more. It really is a tough call. :icega:

I think that Streaming is taking the principal spot. Seems like even GP is getting into it and like, meeting new music throught spotify and stuff so...

Well Drake's Views did get solid support from streaming and it stayed in number 1 for quite a while. I don't know exactly how radio stations are these days--I mostly listen to my playlist on Spotify so I don't know how much the current hits are being replayed.

Yeah, Albums and Singles are now really getting into stream age tbh, u can see the albums barely sell 100k of copies to be #1 right now...

Radio has also been on "downfall" like the digital sales.

Stream is the future and I hope gaga will get into this new age in a perfect way

I.like Radio better, more organic.

Streaming are cold, no announcers talkings stuffs in between songs.

If I want that, I'd rather hear music through my iPod.

She was. Bad Romance fought with Baby for most views at the time. She just lost traction because the GP were alienated, and her long videos backfired because it lessens replayability when you have 9 minutes of dialogue before the song :wtfga:

But I get what you mean. Hopefully, she catches up on streaming. It's a very weak spot of hers.

This is true, as well. However, I just remembered. Weren't the radios playing NOT enough Gaga even when she was the biggest popstar at the time?

People still listen to the radio in cars out and about so it is the most important source of promotion for an artist in my opinion. Gaga's level of fame right now has sharply dropped in the past 5 years so she needs to get on the radio again in order to get people to mass stream her songs.

The radio force feeds the public with songs. So if Gaga's new music is good and is played on radio then people will be like, hey she's back and is cool and then will go out of their way to download and stream the music. We are at an age now where less and less people are currently searching for Gaga's music via streaming through Spotify etc, so radio is vital for gaga, to then get those good streaming numbers, I guess she could pay for them to advertise her new single on Spotify though. They are both important but radio is more important because it helps her brand appeal to the mass demographic like she once did before.

Lady Gaga was the radio in 2009 2010 and 2011 in the UK!!! Paparazzi and Bad Romance would be on every hour on every station!

In 2010 and 2011 gaga had the most streams on Spotify she was the queen of the digital and the streaming age. But in the last year or two streaming has grew so much and gaga has lost touch with a drought of new material

Radio. That would expose her in the cars, malls, restaurants, etc.

Both are important but radio and promo will be important for gaga at the start because her streaming is so horrible...and she's not willing to do features to help it before the new era and bobbys made no effort to do anything to improve it.

She's so over controlling over her material...She has loads of unreleased songs she should have just given spotify an exclusive unreleased track a few months ago or something.
