On another note, I was a bit bummed over the fact that the ratings are not as good as they were last year, but I think the ratings decline has to do with the fact that it's available in many online formats (including USA's own official website). Here's the President of USA Network & SyFy talking about Mr. Robot:

"The way we look at every original series now is how do you build a franchise out of that original series and do that across the network and with the studio. When I look at Robot, I look at a big picture: We built and are continuing to build a franchise that's profitable, that's prestigious, that audiences love and we know they're really dedicated to. We keep building from there. The linear rating is one very small sliver, especially in this case."

Yeah makes sense, vod and Dvr is like streaming to the music industry. Live viewership has been in decline. Major networks like fox aren't getting the views/ratings they used to. It's even affected The walking dead which was steadily increasing viewership/ratings each season until last season when it took a slight dip. Hoping season 7 maintains season 5 or 6 ratings or somehow increases.

I briefly heard about this psych ward/prison theory but didn't think much of it.

It shocked when it occured in the episode, but I'm left confused. It doesn't make sense or hold up.

How could Elliot have the conversations he had with Darlene, Gideon, and Angela in prison? When we saw Elliot talking to his therapist there was a guard right next to them. So there's no way he could have incriminating conversations.

And the computer stuff Elliot was doing, including helping hack the FBI, how could that happen in a prison?

It is entirely possible that Gideon visited him there. 

I'm not sure about Angela & Darlene at the moment.  

 

But what I really want to know too is how he handled Ray's shady business and tipped the FBI. My guess right now is that Ray is some librarian there and that's how Elliot handled that? And once Elliot looked into his illegal material, he had other inmates beat him up while at recess?

I wonder exactly Elliot is in for. We know it's not for the 5/9 attack or murdering Tyrell.

There are ways he could tip off the FBI anonymously, but how the hell did he hack them from prison? And how was he sending Tyrell's wife gifts?

For hacking Krista's boyfriend and stealing his dog Flipper is my guess. 

I'm reading theories that Ray may have been some kind of Warden, which gives him the authority to control other prison guards to (beat up) Elliot. 

I'm not sure how he was sending Joanna gifts though (or if it's in fact him).

** ALSO THE WHOLE SHRIMP COCKTAIL THING WENT OVER MY HEAD **

 

Throwback to Angela saying: "You were drunk, eating shrimp cocktail, and it was raining when you decided my mother should die?" to Colby. 

And BOOM. Now we know how the board room was when E. Corp decided to "kill" her mother and Elliot's father. To me the shrimp cocktail offer was like them saying "we killed your mother, and there's nothing you can do about it." 

Some nasty **** is about to go down in those meetings now that we know who these people are. Oh my god..
