Her last performance at the BBMAs was boring 💤 compared to this. The song is beautiful, her voice's on point and her presence here was captivating. Totally deserved that standing ovation at the end. 😘😘 I didn't say it's the same. it's just that her whole act seems less and less like candy rock circus drama and more like a desperate trademark. she's talented and authentic so I really don't get her decisions. people won't ever think she's this cool pop star so what she really needs is to show more of her personality, go on tour for the rest of her life and focus on writing some more good ol' piano ballads and bittersweet party songs. a few decent songs per album with a few more-of-the-same award show performances won't do. ...what I meant is, this is a moving performance, but as part of her whole act, it would've felt less tired, more genuine and intimate, and like a bigger, more iconic moment if she had done it just a few special times.
