Impostor 4,114
This is me being very honest. I don't believe or expect things because of what Gaga or producers say. I've stopped hyping myself and now that I'm calmly waiting I feel much better. You should try it, either way you will eventually get frustated. I was expecting so much of ARTPOP that when the promotion was abandoned I felt really really bad because I wanted so much to happen. Do you not realise that Gaga's wish to get out of the pop scene and to do different stuff is to show her fans she's not living in their stupid invisible bubble? Meanwhile, I've only started to calm down when I realized that Gaga was not releasing LG5 in the first semester (last year I thought she would release the album right after American Horror Story). Now I know how much wrong I was. The Fame: I wanted Gaga to be sexy and to drop hit after hit, but I didn't realise she was such a nice person, that she didn't really care about being sexy, and that she was living her dream already and did not need another hits. The Fame Monster: I wanted her to be the perfect idol, like an untouchable goddess. I didn't really know she had her feelings. I used to think she was going to be forever on the top. Don't blame me for that, I was just a teenager living in a bubble. Born This Way: I got completely frustated with the new concepts because all I wanted was her to continue the legacy that TFM was. I realised she was trying to say something important with the message of BTW, but I did not quite accept it fully because I just wanted a new Bad Romance. ARTPOP: I wanted her back to the top. I thought Gaga would save pop music, while I took time to understand that whe wanted to get out of pop music, she just wanted to be seen as an artist. Cheek to Cheek was a relief because it was when I realised Gaga could do whatever she wanted. I've never thought she would get so much out of her brand and start a new phase. Cheek to Cheek saved her from the industry and it honestly saved me out of thinking she was just an idol. I've always been that type of fan who is constantly judgemental and picky about Gaga's music and looks and videos. I'm not affraid of saying that. I was stupid. But I think that after all the love and the hate I felt for her I'm starting to grow as a mature fan. The process Gaga started in between ARTPOP and Cheek to Cheek happened just when I got into college. This process really meant something to me, because I started to see Gaga as an adult and to see myself as an adult. I've just realized that Gaga is a real person. For real. Because in the past I knew she was a person, but I didn't really understand what that meant. It means she is not just an icon, she's not just my idol. She has nothing to prove to me or to the general public or the media. She does not need to be always right and brilliant. She does not need to sound like the girl she was in The Fame or TFM or BTW or whatever, because as humans we change with time. We change the way we think and even the way we make music. It's not a sin and now I feel completely numb and I'm just waiting as a white canvas. Next time, I will not care if the album is a hit or a flop, if it's futuristic or classic, I will just greet Gaga with open arms. I'm joining the mature club. I'm making a pact with all of you: I promise not to expect things of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, and I promise to accept her next era with much respect. LUO YI 6,089
That's what some fans don't care, she's another human in this world. People expect things that shemight not want to do. The night sky tells all
Alien Tulip 12,428
Of course Lady Gaga is a person. It took you this long to realize that? Was she not a person when she was doing cocaine in 2007? Was she not a person during the fame, the fame monster and born this way when she was on top of the world? A human being is a person. Lady Gaga is a primate and falls under the Homo sapien category as "Human" which makes her a person. She's been a person since March 28th 1986. Did you think she was half reptilian or insectoid or something? We are all PEOPLE! *glittery tear drop* We all have our own issues but just because we masked our emotions in the past doesn't make us any less of a person. It shouldn't take you 8 years to finally realize she's a person. She's not some inanimate object sitting on the surface of your coffee table.

VTV 12,896
how i learned to stop being a fan and start being a little monster: The Fame & TFM: I appreciate her as an artist who uses wide range of visual arts and incorporates them in a pop performance masterpiece. A modern classic artist in the making. BTW: I adored her for spreading love and bravery. Her diversity from BTW to MTN is one hell of an iconic ride. ARTPOP: She proves once again how strong she is as a woman who never fears criticisms and scandal. Her love for art, music and her fans are so genuine and honest. I learned to know the person behind the Aura. C2C and beyond : The truth has set Gaga and her fans free. Everything is now light and though the connection has become minimal, the passion and the dedication was still there. She's a living proof of hope. Iwontell 7,312
Or maybe it's time to double down on the crazy...? ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.
Pacify Him 9,073
Gaga foresaw the end of pop. It is very evident in the beginning of this year with the release of ANTi. Every pop album that came after that flopped I’m getting on your nerves
crisTEAne 21,059
i'm happy for you and understand what you're saying, but the wording of the title is off-putting to say the least. we had to fight to delete the word 'delusional' from our GGD dictionary; let's not make 'stupid' the new 'delusional.' if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back
Joshie S 6,211
I can only imagine how bad she feels also though for making us wait this long, she has always been knowledgable of how the Monsters act and what we're thinking... Remember when she had to go away before her hip? She couldn't bare it, hell, she even made a song about being away from us (Applause).... I think Monsters just need to chill and let her work it out, she knows what she's doing. The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥
Dominic 11,922
It's become such a taboo thing on this site to be hyped by your favourite artist. She isn't trying to escape a bubble we placed her in, she put herself into that bubble 8 years ago and fans fell in love with that bubble. Yes people change but I'm not here to stan for her persona, im here for music and as someone who likes to judge, critic and discuss music I'll continue to do so whether you label that as immature or not. Fans seem to think everything is about them; "Gaga is doing classical stuff because of her fans" or "Gaga is tired of us and we let her down" etc. In reality i don't think Gaga even cares that much about how hyped we get or how much we complain for new music. She's an artist, we're the fans. If anything she probably feel a lucky to have us. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
