Lion Heart 15,041 Posted July 8, 2016 Share Posted July 8, 2016 Spoiler Two Dallas police officers have been shot in downtown Dallas, an officer at the scene tells NBC 5. The extent of their injuries are not known. The shootings took place as a rally and march in downtown was ending that showed solidarity for communities affected by officer-involved shootings this week in Louisiana and Minnesota. Several hundred people gathered at Belo Garden Park in Dallas and marched to the Old Red Courthouse near Main and Market streets, where the rally ended just before the shots rang out nearby at about 9 p.m. There is no word on whether any civilians have been shot. Police have not released information on any possible suspects in the shooting. DART public transportation service is suspended in downtown due to police activity. NBC 5 has several crews near the scene. We will update this story when more information is available. Police scanners saying that they may think possible sniper. Update 2: Sniper, rifles hanging out of window. Not 100% sure if fully accurate. Update 3: (Details from Police Scanner removed.) Update 4: Seems like they're focusing on a parking garage. Update 5: Exchanging gunfire between suspect and police. Shots fired heard on Fox News. Update 6: Fox News tons of cops, riot shields, moving forward. Update 7: Possible lady shot according to scanner. Suspect may have escaped and may be on foot. The people put matters into their own hands. This is not any form of justice. Many policemen are decent, fair people with families. You cant be serious that you approve killing these persons.
